As I confirmed that 2.7 is already affected I didn't explicitly
tested git without the patch. Now I did. Yes, git is affected
even without the patch.
I could confirm the issue with all 2.x releases by running
'trigger_tmux_bug3', grabbing the right edge of my xterm
with my mouse and shaking the mouse a bit (left/right).
