You can't use {} like this anymore, it has to be valid commands. But you
can just change this to:
set-option -s command-alias[101] 'switch-if-single=if -F
"#{&&:#{==:#{session_windows},1},#{==:#{window_panes},1}}" "switch-client
-l"'
