This doesn't seem to work, I'm trying this in xterm: printf '\033Ptmux;\033]12;blue\007\033\\'
Looks like it is trimming out the second \033. I don't really have time to investigate much further now, I guess you need a different state function to insert the keys after the escape (or a flag or something)?
