I'd also like to point out to my fellow vim users that there is this awesome perl extension for urxvt that copies directly to the X buffers and clipboard and behaves like vim by default: https://github.com/muennich/urxvt-perls The one that opens urls is also very useful. So, unless you're on the console, or for strange reason prefers another terminal over urxvt (I know, right?
