Yeah, I'm not sure what I meant either.  -_-

I think I thought that tmux could treat nested/remote tmuxes in such
a way that it would essentially unroll all the windows; so windows
1-3 are on host 1, but 4-8 are from the tmux on host 2.  Or
something.

Hallucinating such a thing would not be the weirdest thing my brain
has ever done to me.  :D
