Gosh, no, I'm not offended.  I care though that whilst some changes might
affect more users than necessary, that we handle it appropriately.

Heh.  I did indeed.  I suppose the wider point is that you're not going to
please everybody, and that despite the change -- and that people are free to
change it -- might seem like too much of a change for people who now have to
edit their configuration files, etc.  Ah well, we'll see.  :)

Oh, it shouldn't do.  The caveat is that because it's a default it'll be
used in more than one place, so if it needs curtailing or changing, etc.,
now's the time for it.  I just didn't want people concentrating too much on
these default values when they are technically free to change them,
ironically something they weren't able to do before.  :)
