Hello,

I know you all have decided to explicitly not accept pull requests via github,
but I'm curious why? I just submitted a patch via send-email and it was rather
painful. git send-email was super slow (took 30 seconds before prompting me for
my password). Also it wanted to send each commit as a separate email so I
squashed all the commits into one. This isn't ideal in all cases, but I'm new
to this in this project so I'm not sure what the etiquette is.

Any way, just wanted to understand why the policy is as it is and express the
pain I experienced trying to contribute.

Thanks,

Aaron
