Hello,

Last week commit 282c5f9644ed262ee15efbd3d072f7acc577da15 removed
default-path in favor of the -c option to new, neww, and splitw.

The commit message advises:

To get the equivalent to default-path '.', do:

            bind c neww -c $PWD

Unfortunately, I am unable to reproduce the old behavior with the -c
flag. Pasting the bind command above literally into tmux.conf evaluates
$PWD to the actual value of the var at source time.

Quoting $PWD so that the string '$PWD' becomes part of the bind also
fails as '$PWD' is interpreted literally.

Is there a way to attain the dynamic functionality of default-path '.'
with the new -c option? I think the new flag is a good idea, but the old
behavior of resolving '.' to the current pane's cwd was very convenient.
