Hi - I downloaded and built tmux-1.8 (also had to download and install libevent-2.0 locally). I don't have root access on this machine. I'm not able to get tmux to work and after going through various mailings lists/questions, I still don't have an answer to why tmux fails to run. I have LD_LIBRARY_PATH set to point to the local libevent libs and other stuff.
I've attached the strace output (identifying info edited). Clearly there is some problem - I see a SIGSEGV towards the end of the strace output. Also attached the tmux -v -v -v server log. The client log is empty. FWIW, I'm on a fairly old kernel but I do have recent utilities (for e.g. gcc 4.8 etc.). uname -a output below: Linux <edited> 2.6.16.60-0.58.1.3835.0.PTF.638363-smp #1 SMP Wed Dec 2 12:27:56 UTC 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Appreciate any help.
