Sorry erase not verase the termios name is VERASE but stty calls it erase

verase seems not present for BSD-like systems afaics. Here's the
stty man page for mac:

With stty erase:
In tmux
$ stty erase ^?
can be achieved by entering _CTRL_-backspace
In xterm and screen
$ stty erase ^H
can be achieved by entering just backspace
