I sent you the code off list.  There isn't too much in it so far.  You'll need to change the IP address that is hard coded in the file and recompile.  If you use Eclipse just build a war file and copy it to your Tomcat webapps folder (or whatever servlet container you are using).

Kenneth and I talked about making this a subproject in tn5250j or creating a new SF project.  I could even put it on our company CVS if necessary although we don't have it set up for anonymous access yet.

Conceptually it is pretty cool but there will be some grunt work mapping all the field characteristics to HTML.  Command keys are a real pain and aren't all working yet (the browser intercepts most of them and I can't get the browsers to ignore key events.....).  Anyway, there are quite a number of things that need to be figured out before this thing will "really" work.

Hi Guys,

The company I consult for is very interested in this project. If we could
get a copy of the code and a brief howto to get it to run, we should
appreciate it and will do what we can to help out.

P.S. there was no attachment on your last email.

SF bounced the e-mail back because of the attachment, but I did send a
copy to your regular e-mail account and that hasn't been bounced, yet,

Kenneth!

All you have to do is ask....I have been busy with a couple of
projects myself and have let the Web5250 sit for quite a while
although I AM interested in seeing it through (just need someone else
to push...). This still needs a LOT of work but it does run as a
servlet. It is all the field characteristics/ mapping to HTML that
will be the grunt work here.....

Let me know what you would like to do.....I can host it as a demo on
my 170 if you want....

Pete

P.S. I'll attach it ...can't remember if attachments are OK on the
list or not.
