Anitha is right. An error message would be really helpful, if you want us to 
help you. I'm very interested to hear, if you run into build problems. It is 
always my intent to minimize them.

But there is another option. As you use ubuntu you may just run "sudo apt-get 
install libtntnet-dev" to get everything you need to build tntnet 
applications. Tntnet 1.6.3 is in the ubuntu repository available.
