On a whim, I did a sudo ldconfig before compiling it again with -lcxxtools-http, and I think that fixed it. I always forget to do that, but usually the linker gives me an error when I forget it, so I'm not entirely sure that that's what actually fixed it. Regardless, it's working now, so either that *did* fix it, or something happened during the night while I was asleep that fixed it.
