With mingw I couldn't compile because of the posix network layer, which is not implemented on mingw :-(
With cygwin (I tested with both stable and development packages) I'm having the following errors: http://pastebin.com/Q16WB5zj Can you tell me which cygwin version you used to compile cxxtools?
