Hi, you may know that since December last year the tntnet homepage runs with tntnet. Until know I have not done much more than just run tntnet as a static web server.
I started to work on a rewrite of the tntnet homepage with a new design using modern html (html5, div layout, css). Also the content will be easier to maintain. Previously the whole content was generated using doxygen. Each time I changed something, I had to rerun doxygen to regenerate the whole site. This has to change. Some times ago I started to use markdown for documentation. That is really a simple format to generate content. And it is convertible to html easily. I tried to write a parser for markdown but it is really difficult. And why reinvent the wheel. I found cpp-markdown (http://http://cpp-markdown.sourceforge.net/), which do what I need. So I decided to go with that. Also the man pages are generated from markdown with md2man, a converter written in ruby, which also has a md2man-html tool to convert them to html. This makes it easy to publish the documentation and man pages on the homepage. The current code for the new homepage can be found on my github page at https://github.com/maekitalo/tntnet-homepage. It also can be seen online at http://new.tntnet.org/. (or any other name, which contains the word new and ends with .tntnet.org, you know, tntnet is flexible there;)). Feedback is welcome. The content is currently only partly there. Also I'm a coder and not a designer. If you have ideas, how to make it better, please tell me. Or maybe you want to write a better design for the page.
