Hello,

funny, I have used HTML::Mason also to implement a java code generator.

There is a command line switch -C in tntnet, which can be used to call 
components from the command line. The output is then printed to stdout. 
Using -q you can pass a query string, which is passed via <%args> 
section to the component.
