Hi, I'm migrating one domain from one qmail/vpopmail server to another, and I was wondering if there was an easy way to do this.
There's one catch that I'm running into: the admins who installed vpopmail on the old server installed it in /var/vpopmail, while I followed the toaster to the letter and installed in /home/vpopmail. I figure I can tar up the files in the domain's old directory ( the domain's already created with vadddomain(1) ), scp them to the new box, modify the vpasswd to reflect the new locations of the Maildirs, and all should be peachy. But what about the vpasswd.cdb file? How do I create a new one from the passwd? My other question may not matter, but I'll ask: the old server's vpopmail didn't have passwords en clear, while the new one does. Is this going to be an issue? Thanks. -Matt Gourley
