I wish to setup some servers that are behind my firewall to relay smtp mail to a server in the DMZ. I tried just letting sendmail perform the relay but something is not configured properly on the sendmail side and so it looks like the sendmail server is routing to itself then trying to route to my DMZ server but its failing. So I have decided since I know qmail why not just install qmail on the internal servers.
I pretty much so figure I can follow the toaster instructions up through the qmail installation and I wil be set; the only real question is in the ./config-fast full.hostname...are there any gotchas with respect to domain name/server name that might keep the firewalled servers from forwarding to the DMZ server? If anyone has done this or has some input I would appreciate it? I will probably just go ahead and take a whack at it tomorrow, but I figured asking couldn't hurt. Thanks, Steven Balthazor
