I /know/ this has been discussed before, but a quick search of the archives for this list and the vchkpw list didn't turn up the answer.
A friend of mine just set up a toaster, and everything is working except that IMAP can't authenticate. Here's the log entries: Dec 11 19:25:58 [imapd] Connection, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1] Dec 11 19:25:58 [imapd] setgid: Operation not permitted I know this is a permissions issue, but I don't know where to look. The config files for Courier are correct (they match what the setup instructions...). I suspect something needs to be SUID root that isn't, but I don't know where too look.
