I'm having awful luck with Qmail-scanner package. Its my understanding
that you can use it without a standalone virus checking package if you
only want to do stuff like block/drop incoming email with certain
attachment types (i.e. .exe's, etc.) as a kind of rudimentary
protection. That's all we're really trying to do with it a this point.
Here's the kicker - my boss "installed" it and can't seem to get it to
work. It appears to be not dropping messages with .exe attachments into
the bit bucket, but rather is delivering them AND writing them out to
I'm just now digging into this, but I've noticed that he did +not+
install Maildrop on this machine, which seems to be required according
to the qscanner howto page.

I guess my first question is this - the Toaster's version of qmail is
listed as "patched for qmail-scanner" - does that mean that it doesn't
need Maildrop, or should I install maildrop to get qmail-scanner to work
with the Toaster?

Thanks in advance for any assistance to my (poorly worded) question, and
do please let me know what additional information I can provide.
