Quick question: I'm working my way through some mail routing issues. On our IP masquerading firewall machine, it is running a qmail 1.03, and is re-directing mail to various internal mail servers via a file it has called "smtproutes" with entries that look like this:
domain1.com:[10.0.0.2] .domain1.com:[10.0.0.2] domain2.com:[10.0.0.2] .domain2.com:[10.0.0.2] domain3.com:[10.0.0.3] .domain3.com:[10.0.0.3] ..where the first two entries are going to the qmail box I recently installed using Bill's toaster instructions (and a good deal of assistance from Bill as well),and the last entry directing mail to an internal MS Exchange box. I'm wanting to stop using qmail on the masq box and have the new toaster box function as the network's qmail server, and to also redirect mail to the Exchange machine. I can take care of reconfiguring ipchains on the masq box to get all mail to the qmail box and let it re-distribute it, but I can't figure out how. It doesn't have an smtproutes file installed on it. Can I just manually create that file, or how do I proceed? -- John Shireley Cook, Inc. jshireley @ cook-inc.com
