Hello,
I know the merits and the meaning of the flags of the program
tcpserver.
In Bill Shupps toaster -which is well known as stable and good
qmail,vpopmail ... installation -
there the smtp port - tcp/ip connections are controlled by the
following
shell script:
/var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd/run
tcpserver runs like this : tcpserver flag-opts flag-port flag-progs
My question:
What is the exact meaning and result of the progs-flag :
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd domain.com \
/home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /bin/true 2>&1
in /usr/local/bin/tcpserver -H -R -l 0 \
-x /home/vpopmail/etc/tcp.smtp.cdb -c "$MAXSMTPD" \
-u "$QMAILDUID" -g "$NOFILESGID" 0 smtp \
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd domain.com \
/home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /bin/true 2>&1
in the
/var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd/run script.
Every answer is welcome.
