I upgraded our qmail toaster to version 0.6. Everything works fine, only problem is with users sending large attachments (1MB+), which are sent very slowly and sometimes when attachment is large enough, sending fails. Other network traffic is at normal speed. Also this is not a DNS problem, connection is established quickly. Looks like when qmail is receiving messages for local users, it works at full speed.
Toaster is configured otherwise as said in the guide, but roaming users is enabled.
Any ideas where to look for?

Here is little more information. I have confirmed that when toaster is receiving large attachments for local user, it works as fast as it should. So the problem exists only when local users are sending messages. Also, when local user sends message to another local user, it is slow. This is not about system load, since there is only about 100 users and 100-200 messages per day. System load average is 0.00. Operating system is Suse 8.2.
I really don't have any idea where the problem could be.

Okay, now things get even more complicated (to me atleast). When using TLS connection for outgoing messages, it works at normal speed (100 mbit lan). Also it doesn't matter if sending from allowed relay address or using SMTP-AUTH.
With TLS it takes about 1 second to send ~14MB attachment and without TLS it takes 1 minute to send 2MB attachment.
It's just that some of the users work for advertising company and they send quite large pictures frequently. And they use Macintosh computers and we couldn't find option to use TLS on their mail client (as a temporary solution).
Please, any help.
