have you guys considered maybe changing the mfcheck with a patch that also checks MX, not only DNS
So if the senders ip address does not match the mx it gets refused at smtp level
This doesn't work. MX is the RECEIVING exchanger address. What you are talking about is addressed by the Sender Policy Framework (SPF), and you can read about it here:

I have already integrated the spf-qmail patch into my toaster patch, but have not yet released it. I hope to get that up this week.
