Gotcha.. the domains are only added on the customer facing machine,
where the NFS export is.  The internet facing machine only has write
access to the domains directory for putting email in the boxes...

With regards to my problem, I've noticed (just now, actually) that the
/var/qmail/log/current file shows deliveries to the shoenerenvironmental
domain as this :

starting delivery 1708262: msg 1853410 to remote
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

where my working domains show this :

starting delivery 1712785: msg 1853424 to local
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

What does qmail use to get this info?
