I hadn't thought about that. It seems that the second one, in realrcpt_check, would be redundant. However, I have not tested removing it to see if there is a good reason for it to be run again. Keep in mind, I didn't write chkuser, someone else did, and I simply make it available on my site. This second call to addrallowed() has never caused a problem for me, however.
