Rejections are logged to  /var/log/qmail/smtpd/current :
@4000000043fded5217e3594c rblsmtpd: 217.129.78.238 pid 26482: 553

If you use Qmailmrtg7 you will also notice the rejections in your SMTP 
totals graph.

is there a way to see if the RBL server is being contacted ? in log files

do not see any entries about RBLs?
