Normally, you would login to squirrelmail using the full email address as login. If only the username is used squirrelmail will append the default domain to the username, eg [EMAIL PROTECTED] So presumably those who can login with only their username have an account on 'myserver.com'. The vlogin plugin for squirrelmail can be setup so that users can go to something like http://webmail.example.com and they will be able to login using only their username. You can also customise the logo, initial settings and so on.
