I tried to grab you a piece of the log, but doesn't appear to be updating anymore despite the above.

I migrated the /var/qmail/* and /srv/data/* from server 1 to server 2.
The users are recognized under the smtp logs, but I show a "connection
refused" with nothing else.  What am I missing after the migration

is refusing the connection.  Again, the logs acknowledge that the user
is found.
