We were: David, Dave, Scott, Mihail, Michael, Belen and Alex Weekly status:
* David: submitted patches for 6682 and 7359. Working on 7246 and 6040 at the moment. Will also look at 6483 (it has been reopened). * Dave: submitted patches for 6154 * Belen: reviewing implementation work and discussing some changes to improve the importing layer process * Alex: back end improvements (breaking sqlite in the process) and bug fixing * Michael: bug fixing. Also working on the error reporting tool * Mihail: just one bug away from UI automation for analysis mode. Back end automation is complete for both analysis and build modes. Experiencing some issues with the database in the latest m3-rc1 build: nothing is recorded on the database (issues open already). * Scott: new version of the manual went out on Friday. Needs a good review: please look at it. Progressing on the video embedding in the manual. Asked if the videos will change: answer is, probably not, since they apply to existing functionality, but we might need to add some additional ones to cover new features. Opens: * About 7246: should users be able to delete from a project any of the configuration variables set via the admin interface? Ideally, probably no, but we have bigger issues to deal with, so we can release like that and change it as part of the feature to customise the Django admin interface (6897). * Dave encountered 2 problems while using Toaster. One has a bug already open: 7301. Dave will take it and Alex can provide some direction on how to solve it. The second is that the glibc recipe page throws an error when you build core-image-full-cmdline. Belen will try and reproduce it. * QA issues in the database with the latest release candidate build: some changes to speed up MySQL broke sqlite. The problem affects both analysis and build modes, and QA has filed 7363 and 7365 to track it. Toaster is just triggering the bug, which might be coming from Django. Alex is looking into it. QA should continue testing with sqlite. To unblock the full pass testing for the rc build, QA could either set up their Toaster instances with MySQL instead of sqlite temporarily (Alex will provide instructions), or revert the commit causing the issue (Alex will send the commit id). * Automation requests: to help the UI tests automation, Mihail had a couple of requests. 1. Add a class to every cell in the recipe and recipe version columns in the recipes table 2. Add a class to every cell in the package and package version columns in the packages table 3. Add an id to the search, new project, new build and edit columns buttons Mihail will open bugzilla issues to track those. * Testing of build and analysis mode: Mihail asked if we need to run full tests for the common pages between the two modes. The issue is that the pages are slightly different (the build mode has a different breadcrumb and loses some table columns). Alex suggested to do full testing in build mode, and smoke testing in analysis mode to make sure the pages load without errors. He also suggested to clone the automated tests so we keep separate test cases for each mode, since we'll probably separate them into 2 different applications during the next release. * Intel's Yocto Project Summit has accepted a Toaster talk in their program. David Reyna will probably do the presentation.
