Hi,
I have had many problems to make it running. following the last
instructions , the result was the same :, I mean a web interface with no
default layouts available.
So, I decided to take the next steps :
I dropped the toaster database;
I created it again.
I used :
manage.py syncdb
manage.py migrate orm
manage.py migrate bldcontrol
manage.py checksettings
this command replies with it :
./bitbake/lib/toaster/manage.py checksettings
Build configuration saved
Loading default settings
Installed 7 object(s) from 1 fixture(s)
Loading OE-Core configuration
Installed 12 object(s) from 1 fixture(s)
TEMPLATECONF not found. You may have to manually configure layer paths
Please enter the path of your openembedded-core layer:
...????
What can I do ?

Hi John,
There has evidently been some drift in Apache, the hosts, and/or
Django causing you and some other people problems getting Apache to work.
Attached are my upcoming Toaster manual changes. They cover the new
fixture Toaster configuration model but do not add any information
about Apache.
Also attached is a conversation about setting up Apache from a year
ago that I found. This should have been in the current documentation,
but maybe there is some information that can help you.
I myself have not done the Apache set up (I have done the MySQL part),
so I need to follow up on this.
CC’ing Stéphane in case this is useful to him as well.

Hi David,
PLEASE send me updated or even bleeding edge docs.
I like Stéphane, have spent weeks trying to get the production version
working. The native django version's server appear to come up on a
browser but the Apache version does not.
I think it may be a problem with env or the wrong version of
something. I've never used python or django.
The OS is CentOS 7.4
Thanks,
John

Hi Stéphane,
Thank you for using Toaster!
1) We are updating the Toaster manual even as we speak!
We replaced the "toaster.json" with fixture files, which are located
in "bitbake/lib/toaster/orm/fixtures".
I will send you (and anyone else who wants it) the preprint in a
separate email.
2) When you use the local layer, you do not get any layer information
because there is no Layer Index for local layers, no easy way for
Toaster to know where you put them or how to correlate them to the
known layers in the public Layer Index.
To include the local layers you tell Toaster about them by using the
Layer Import tool with the selection "In a directory".

Subject: [Toaster] toaster setup
hi,
I setted up a toaster configuration, but there are few things that are
not working or inconsistant with the manual.
1/ I can not find any toasterconf.json file as stated in manual.
2/ the toaster interface runs but if try to use "local yocto project",
no compatible layers are displayed (openembedded-core,meta-poky...)
I am using the mysql backend.
I am running opensuse 42.2. I can use yocto and have successfully built
the core-image-sato from the cmdline.
