Hi NaChaKi,
I am sorry that I never got back on the new structure of e-mails.
First off, Thank you for doing a wonderful job moving the e-mail
archives to different reading style preferences.
My observations:
1. Gmail style grouping is good -- though the interface is a bit tacky.
The threading is a very useful feature for anyone who'd like to track a
discussion by thread.
2. Blog style -- this is the BEST -- real super cool interface with
lots of nice features like navigation by monthly calendar and also archive
access by month. However, retaining the ADS in the message is very annoying.
But otherwise the general look is good.
3. RSS feeds is pretty much useless for a layman reader like me but, as
you said, it might come useful once the website flies.
4. The plain vanilla flavored archiving is good at best :-) plain,
simple and easy-to-use
So, I think this a very useful move for the group. However, the
usefulness of these features to the group members might have come to become
quesitonable during the course of discussions on the group. Your original
thought about "why don't people just give time to read e-mails" seems to be
the general consensus.
Personally, I made a move to gmail during the course of this
discussion. I like the "tying together" feature of gmail. So, I am happy
with it. But, the interfaces you have provided would be useful for the more
savvy and/or less-active members who would want their information provided
in an easy to use way.
Thank you for the efforts you've put in for this, despite your
demanding schedule.
Cheers!
Karthik

There were so many e-mails about this - arguments, comments, statements,
opinions, suggestions - and finally when the solutions are proposed and
implemented, there's not even one e-mail that talks about this issue. Is
this issue deemed resolved? Did anyone even look at this message
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tomakeadifference/message/4951? This is not
an emergency, this is not a great issue of importance, but I think I should
also try to know the feedback from people and see if anything more/else can
be done in this case.
Am I asking too much?
