Dear Friends,
As discussed and decided in Hyd-Monthly meeting, Kasyap went to ZOO park to
study the situation & facility. His findings:
  1. Zoo will open for public from 8.30am to 5pm
  2. Entry per head is Rs.20
  3. Cars are allowed alongwith 5 passengers (including driver) for Rs.200
  4. Cameras are allowed for some charge, still camera Rs.30 or something,
video camera Rs.100
  5. Everything plastic is prohibited (but the officials say that as we are
sensible people and wont throw plastics inside, we can carry Water Cans of
20ltrs in the car and need not show to anyone but if required, we can deposit
some caution money which is refundable).
  6. The above applies to mats too, but we have to carry them covered under
cotton durries/carpets/bedsheets.
  7. Music systems are NOT allowed, but Kasyap also added that personal
stereos/walkmans are allowed. Idea is not to disturb the animals.
  8. So far food is concerned, there is no good mess around, but it seems a
Swagath group restaurant is somewhere nearby. They won't take any advance. We
have to approach them on the D-Day for requisite quantity of food (in the
morning) and we have to come out and collect the same from them. Of course we
do not know if those food materials (being packed in polythene bags) are
allowed or not and if we need to pay Rs.200 per every trip of the car to the
ZOO authorities.

So we can carry dry snacks, tea/milk with us. Now that music systems are not
allowed, what about the dance programme? In the meantime, we will look for
other places as well.
  Will keep all updated.
Send a final list of participants. (as I can not search for that particular
mail where all the names are listed).
  Ratan
