Prasad garu,

Ofcourse it is painful to patients. But there is nothing wrong from
doctor's end too.

There is a scarcity of doctors especially heart surgeons in NIMS.
There are many patients and most of them are CM, PM Fund people.

Surgeons have to take care of Out-patients, patients in ICU, visit
the operated patients and then the waiting patients. Usually they do
not do operations on Saturday and Sunday.

Before visiting NIMS, I used to think that govt. hospitals and
doctors there do not take much care of the patients. But after my
regular visits, my respect for them grow like anything. They are
really committed and dedicated.

After all they too are human beings. They too need some rest and gap
between operations.

I remember Ms. Jayashree's case here. She was so frustrated and she
quarrelled with Dr. Gopichand (Heart Surgeon, CARE Hospital) that he
is not doing the operation because he suspects that the patient will
die. She accused him. But instead of getting angry, Dr. Gopichand
responded in a very polite way. He explained her that he suffers
from backpain and also he has to stand and bend continuously for
hours together to do an operation. He too needs some rest and he
will do the operation and it will be a success.

Thank you.

with regards,
Prasanthi.
