Hello Friends, This morning I rang to Saritha and asked her to visit Paparao garu and she went and met him. Doctor was in rounds then so he couldn't speak with me over phone. He said to her that he wants to meet all our members. She replied that it is ok, fine. We can meet him sometime. But take rest.
This afternoon I requested my dad to take me to ESI during lunch time. Thanks to him. I met Paparao garu. He is in good mood. He told that pain is there. It seems all the doctors and nurses are very co-operative. In fact he is in ICU. The doctor told him that he is very fit but as he is an elderly man, it is good to be in ICU and not to worry. Only to protect him from sun and all, they gave bed in ICU. He hopes that these people will keep him for few days and he doesn't want to ask them that he wants to leave or the date of discharge. I asked him if he is interested to stay in oldage home. He said, that is not a problem. But he wants to be near his daughters if they look after him or not. It seems that he has to go to vijayanagaram as he has to submit all the medical reports and get a letter for rest. When asked about his expenses he told me that it would cost him Rs. 3,500/month for rent, medicines and food. About what sort of work he can do, he is interested to do any paper work, writing kind of thing. I presented the ideas of STD Booth and Xerox Machine, he said that he needs capital and so he doesn't want to do that. I do not know how much it will cost for STD Booth. I think this is the best option as he has to do nothing. No strain. Any suggestions are also welcome. Kasyap, Yeah. We know that there are many such cases around and we can't reach out to everyone. We didn't go specifically to find these cases and are helping. We tried to help those we get to know. Also for Paparao garu, we are not giving money. Pranahitha will be giving. She is interested to help him but for the group she will show Divena's case. I will discuss with Pranahitha and will ask her opinion. If she is interested to help him, fine. What is our problem? We cannot completely ignore people, right? Whatever we can do, we will do. In fact in this case we campaigned for him. I hope that we can raise to the standard of helping as many as possible. And in each case I hope we find donors too. In our guidelines also we mentioned clearly that even though we cannot take up a case on group's front, if individual members want to help, we will help through our group.
