Hello Friends, I spoke with Pranahitha about her opinion. She said she discussed with her friends also. They are interested to help. They will give us whatever we have spent on Divena and will be spending on Divena and we can spend that money for Paparao garu.
I explained her my views on helping Paparao garu and she very much agreed. She too will come once and will talk to him. She too supports the idea of helping by giving the requirements but not by giving money. I also explained her about Divena's family's problems and asked her if her group consider that or object as that is a point of concern for anyone. She asked me that if Divena's family is too very poor. I told her that both her parents are daily wage workers. They have been here with her. How can they get money? How can they get any loan from here? Who will give afterall? She said that it is ok no problem. They can bear the expenses and she can transfer the money to our account immediately. I told her that it is ok. There is nothing urgent. She will be transfering money to us on Monday. She is also interested to know about any new genuine medical cases. I told her about the new case that Vani suggested but also informed that we cannot do volunteer work either due to our personal commitments and/or professional responsibilities. I told her that we will forward the details and she can decide on how they can proceed on that case. I hope that for the time being our problem is solved. Let us continue our discussion on our guidelines. Anything is for our best and I am happy that we started discussions. *P.S:* Yesterday evening I visited Paparao garu and his wife. She rang me and told that he is a bit worried that why we didn't ring to them at all. As I was passing that way, I got down there and visited them at about 7 pm. I told Paparao garu that we are busy and so cannot come. He said that he will not demand us to come and see him but he would be happy if we would have ring him once. I told him that as he has to take rest and should not talk much, we didn't ring him. Paparao garu seems a bit bothered, in the sense, felt bad that we asked about his address. He thought that we suspected him. He said that his daughter, Sasikala, wife of K. Shankar Rao (driver), will show him his house. It is just like a single room with asbestos sheets. They do not have stove but they cook with coal (boggula poyyi). They are in utmost poverty. He felt that we are suspecting him and couldn't believe his words. (This he didn't say but I assumed so). I explained him that it is not to suspect or cross-check we are doing these things. It is our principle that we will give the requirements but not cash and we want to do it through our members. I asked him that if we would be happy if we give him cash and walk away or if we visit him and know his problems and provide him the requirements? He got convinced. He said that his eldest daughter gives them Ganji by not eating her own food. I also asked him that why not they stay in an oldage home in Vijayanagaram itself as it is problematic for them to stay in that small room (Rent he told Rs. 300/Rs. 400). He said that then how come he see his daughters. I told him like they can come as visitors and meet them. I spoke with Paparao gari wife, Radha garu. She is very practical lady. She is upset with everyone of her family members. She says that Paparao garu is only son to his mother and his father died at a very young age and his mother also died five years back. No one from his side. She has five brothers and four sisters (or vice versa) and mother also. No one took care of them. They didn't even give her money when she requested to come to Hyderabad. Daughters also are not so much concerned. Only the eldest one Sasikala is somewhat better. K. Sankar Rao, Sasikala's husband came to NIMS once and scolded him like anything saying that why these people are calling them again and again. They do not have money to come to Hyderabad either. She told me that what can she do as this man, Paparao garu, keeps on asking her about Sankar Rao. She also told me that if he resigns his job he will get the PF money around Rs. 25k. But her second daughter quarrels with him saying that he hasn't given anything to her so he should give her the money. She says that, 'naaku ishtam ledu ammaa. veellu ippude tandrini choodadaaniki raaledu. maake sahaayam cheyaledu. repodduna aaynakedainaa aite asalu nannu choostaaraa?' But it seems that Paparao garu didn't think of his wife but only of his daughters. When I discussed with Pranahitha about Paparao garu, she too felt very bad. She said that let us not give any money to them. If possible, let us convince him to deposit the PF money in Radha gari name. She also said that STD booth is a good idea. Even her friend suggested that coin box would be much better as Paparao garu need not do anything at all. -- Thank you. with regards, PRASANTHI. ---- When you want something, the whole universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.
