At 7 am this morning, 3 truckloads of policemen and women arrived and forcibly
removed five of the hunger strikers, four of whom are survivors of the Bhopal
Gas Tragedy, to take them to the third floor of Hamidia Hospital. The police
have ordered the Tinshed to be evacuated and the police used violent force to
take a few of the supporters as well as the fasters. Rachna was still sleeping
when they grabbed her hands and feet to pick her up violently. They snatched a
digital camera and refused to give it back to the owner, and one of the
badgeless policemen made lude remarks and hinted at rape towards two of the
women supporters (Pragya and Shalini). The order for the pickup came from the
Collector.
WE URGE YOU TO BOMBARD THE COLLECTOR AND CHIEF SECRETARY WITH CALLS!
