Krishna garu spent the whole day today for this cause. First he went to Gandhi Hospital and let the tests done Bought the car and gave it to Sireesha Arranged lunch for them Visited CARE Hospital, Banjara Hills (The estimate is given is 1.25 lakhs out of which the money is born by Govt., Little Hearts Foundation and Hrudaya.) Taken application form from LHF and filled it (The application should be signed by two of the neighbours of Sireesha) Taken 4 sets of xerox copies as per the guidelines. Tomorrow he will be visiting CARE again. He rang to me four times, once in the morning, afternoon, evening and night to keep me informed of the status. In the afternoon I spoke with Sireesha too on phone. He will be posting a very detailed mail regarding his work and what he did so far, what he found etc., Coming to the action plan now in this case, as I said, as the xerox copies of the health report (diagnosis) and the estimates are ready, I will send them to Kinnera Foundation with Samuel garu. (He will be leaving to US on 18th of March). Hopefully they can come forward for help. Until then, the amount that is promised so far would be fine (I suppose). Based on that we will take a decision on how much to spend from our monthly donation for this cause. Coming to a general issue, Krishna garu told me that he found so many such cases both in Gandhi Hospital and also in CARE Hospital. What I feel is (once we are through with Sireesha's case, we can find out from hospital authorities, the poorest of the poor cases and then refer them to Kinnera Foundation (if the patients are of below 12 yrs in age) or any other big NGO and we will only pay for these expenses. (Getting reports, forwarding them to NGOs and co-ordination etc.,) I think that way we can do more help. I am planning to talk to Ramakrishna garu of Eenadu this week and will invite him for our anniversary meeting and blood donation camp. There we will discuss with him regarding our thoughts and how we should proceed about and all.
