Such a good point ! I have always tried to make this point to Prasanthi in
our conversations.
Our help should not make the independent - dependant. It is in both our
good interests...as well as theirs' to make sure they know that we are
always there to help...but...they must first try to help themselves and then
come to us, if they NEED more.
I think Krishna must smart brush them on saving penny by penny for
unforeseen petty expenses such as autofares and so on (keeping in mind they
are ppl of limited means). They might never be able to save enough for
medicare or infact any expense more than 500rs ever so easily....but....they
can surely save for conveyance, preliminary medication, etc if softly but
clearly directed/advised.

Hi Krishna,
You are doing an exemplary work. But becareful the parents should not
miss utilse the help or expecting every thing from others. I really worried
that they are telling they don't have auto charges to reach hopital. As
they are aware of the kids condition they should kept some thing aside for
urgent things. We should help the needy but at the same time need to be
frank with them. Don't try to do each and every thing for them, let them do
what ever they can do.
Hope every body got my point.

Hi Friends
Best wishes.
Iam monitoring Sirisha's health condition regularly. Her health is
stable for most of the times. But she is getting serious problems at few
times. She is using medicines regularly.
Day before yesterday night Sireesh went to severe condition all of
sudden Siresha's father and grandfather went to a village. So there were
no men to accompany them in that night. They took her to some hospitals
nearby their home but they denied treating because her condition is serious
and undergoing sensitive treatment by Care Hospitals by seing reports. The
Sirisha's mother called me with crying while her mother taking Sirisha to
nearest hospitals. I asked them to come very immediately by Auto directly
to Care Hospital and I will join there. They don't have the facilities of
taxy nearby. I thought it would be delayed if I go to Sirisha's home at
outskirts of the City and again bringing her to Care.
After some time, Grandmother of Sirisha phoned me and said Sireesha was
sleeping and her condition was little bit ok She said that she would come
to Care Hospitals by next day morning.
I told them not to fear and make a call to me if her condition is
serious again, If needed I will come to there even in midnight by car and
admit Sirisha in Care Hospitals. (The place where Sirisha lives is very
long distance from the middle of Hyderabad. Vanasthalipuram is outskirts of
Hyderabad and still Sahebnagar is distant from there).
Again her health condition went severe on Saturday morning. I asked them
to come in Auto directly from their place to Care Hospitals, Banjara Hills.
They told that they don't have money. I said them to come away and I will
pay money to Auto driver. They came and I paid money to Auto driver.
Sirisha looked so dull. Dr. Nageswara Rao garu (Pediatric Cardiologist)
examined immediately though he has so many waiting. She was tested by Echo
machines. They identified a block in heart valves and off course there was
a hole already. She was undergone few tests like Saturation test etc., .
(I am gaining knowledge in some medical terms it seems.) She was given
medicines and tonics to control the severe condition. Dr. Nageswara rao
garu said not to worry to the elders of Sirisha and her operation will be
performed with ease. He drawn a rough picture of heart on paper and
explained where the problems lied. A block is to be opened and a hole to be
closed. Thanks to him for explaining with patience and filling courage in
Sirisha's family.
The Dr. Nageswara Rao garu and other doctors were impressed a lot by
knowing the efforts of our Groups for Sirisha and asked to convey his
appreciation to all members. I told them about the "Make a Difference" and
"WWHY" groups. They told that they felt happy about participation and
initiation of ours from the society. They told they are striving hard to
treat children with heart complaints.
Dr. Nageswarao garu said " These sort of things inspire us" .
I arranged meals to Sireesha and her Grandmother in Care canteen. I
purchased medicines & tonic.
My brother could reach Care to accompany me when we were at Care Medical
shop because he was very busy in a project. Thanks to him.
I gave Rs. 200 to Sireesha's grandmother and told to use them for
immediate conveyance whenever it is needed.
Sirisha's health is ok now. She is taking medicines regularly.
Thanks to Mr. Ram Mohan of WWHY group for showing willingness to attend
Care hospitals. He tried to come but due to some unavoidable work he could
not. Anyhow he was ready to come to Care all of sudden in case of emergency
by leaving all works and rush immediately. He made calls to me and enquired
the situation time to time.
There was an article written by Dr. Nageswara Rao garu in Eenadu about
how to take care of children with heart deceases in Summer.
Here is the link :
http://www.eenadu.net/archives/archive-14-3-2006/specialpages/sp-healthmain.asp?qry=sp-health5
I said to him that we will take number of zerox copies of the article
and distribute to the parents of the children with heart diseases. That is
more than half page in Enadu paper's print Edition.
He told he would send the .pdf file in email to me to take prints
easily. That file was given to him in a CD by Eanadu .
When I was not able to update the Group directly about Sirisha some
times, Prasanthi garu updated the Group about what is going on. Thanks to
her. Iam not getting time to take meals at most of the times. My busy work
schedules are like that. Soon I will post the details of expenditure and
let US friends to obtain an Outsourcing contract from India .
Regards
Krishna
