Identifying services and people...where we can put the patients' family and responsible individuals who are presently jobless or in need of job - to work.
There might be many organisations or people who will come forward to help out offering to take these ppl to work and pay against their services. We have to Identify such sources. I didnt know much about what Chandra wrote. I wasnt' a member of this group then...and hence missed out I guess. But I liked the fact in one of those cases of a guy actually earning giving tutions. Also..I was almost about to mail all the group..if any of you had any information on small scale industries that take women daily labour paying day to day basis. It can as well be monthly basis...but just was wanting to know if there were any around hyderabad or outskirts of hyd. I know many women who are struggling for rupee by rupee and living without eating food everyday. Even if some of you have heard of some place and have no details on it...I can always call and find out if u give me the particulars. There must be some businesses like for example...match stick makers, basket weavers, beatle leef packing, candle makers and so on. These are things that even old women can do with ease..compared to lifting weights or some brainy job. Please mail me back if you know of any of these places. These women I know actually run a family of six with one kg of rice per month....cant' afford to buy veggies...but make sure they send their kids to school. These kids donot know what taking a tiffin box to school or eating lunch at school is. Most of these go to ZPPS but when I questioned them about how they teach there...I always get a reply that teachers sit knitting sweaters or sleep in chairs for hours, no food is given though govt allots free milk and bread for these kids, no books are given and at times kids are made to stay in the same grade becos they had shortage of books for that grade against no of kids, make these kids stitch some blankets all day (which is part of govt school syllabus but only supposed to be max an hr or two a day)...and let them go play. These kids drift off to totally different colonies playing...and it really doesnt' matter to their school staff. At the end of the year...they pass these kids without exams. Goodness!!! what are they educating these kids on to pass them to next level. Some of the kids I spoke to..donot know ABC's or telugu alphabets..and they are actually theoritically in 7th grade. Now I understand why my servants struggle to keep up with sending their kids to private schools. SOOO HOPE someone knows something about these places. Hopeful... Divya
