Things seem to be moving a bit faster now :) All the MoMs' this month
from hyd, bnglr and US have been progressive. Nice!

I agree with Prasanthi on replies to a particular qn should be mailed
to the group. Even agreeing someone donot have the same qn in mind,
they might still be interested in knowing more or see what ppl have to
say to it.

Coming to mail count...mm....our group is one such group where we are
maintaining the scale on subject mails. We donot mail forwards...and
we hardly have any mails that are fun intended (leaving mine once a
while ofcourse). Even if we agree that we will strictly have only
subject mails....will it considerably reduce the mail count?? I dont'
think so. Since...right here is exactly where ppl put out their
thoughts and at times it also gets into a debate...but a healthy one.
When we say we expect volunteers to be active here...we expect them to
acknowledge our mails and voice their opinions too...and now I on
behalf of the group am also working on Volunteer Retention, which is
in a way invitation to more mails.

Perhaps having tags to the mails might help...but again...if all are
tagged imp or very imp :) what do you do?? So....yes....please go
ahead and see if you can find a solution to this. I am lost on how to
decrease mails. More so I guess I would infact like mails coming in
which would mean more n more active members. Also it is impossible to
write one liners at times. These break up into more qns....or leave
loose ends. I also believe that a group cannot work functionally on
one-liners. There need to be some clear detailed mails and this itself
will reduce some more mails..since it covers much of what others
wanted to say perhaps too. So they can just say 'I agree'.

My thoughts...and no offence meant to Raghu :) I seriously understand
how hard it is to follow mails & not miss any...given ur work schedules.

Lets c if someone comes up with a smart solution on this. I have a
dead end here.

PS: Do we have a Kanadiga in our Bangalore members? Good luck on
learning Kannada. I can always be mailed if there is a qn on Bangalore
Kannada. Like we have different telugus in Andhra...there is hubli,
gulbargh, bangalore, mysore kannada and so on too. Some differ quite
interestingly a lot from the other. I can speak good bangalore
kannada...and can help out some of you if you need help that is :)

days) we should reduce the number of mails. I have added the points we
have discussed on the number of mails and the content in each mail. As
the number of mails is getting increased, following the mails is
getting difficult and hence we are not able to concentrate on the
mails which needs our attention. This issue should be discussed and
should be given high priority.
