Hi Rahul,

(please check your settings in your email, it is being displayed
as 'Raul'. If you set it wantonly, its fine. Otherwise just check.)

I didn't quite understand, what you intend to say.

This is a practise that would be similar in few concerns.

Anikepalli is not a slum but a village where few poor people are
there. (We do not know any other area within the village except the
place that we visited. We will get all the necessary information in
the coming months.)

The practises, their mode of teaching etc., can help us. Even here in
Hyderabad also we have Samyukta Foundation which teaches to the
children of construction workers.

For guidance, we can look up to anyone of them. Before doing that we
should understand the situation in Anikepalli and then take the best
from other organizations.

If the slum is near to you or the conveyance is ok, you can go there
and work so that you will get some experience and you will be the
source for us to explain us how they are going about teaching etc.

Let me know if I misunderstood or missed anything.

I am in the process of running through the mails. May be from
afternoon I cannot check. So....

Prarambh, have proved this... Prarambh is an initiative which was
started in Jan by 4-5 Infoscions to educate the slum children next
to Food World (Spencer) at Aundh, Pune. The group has now expanded
to more than 30 members from various backgrounds (Professionals,
parents and students). Our main aim is to impart basic education and
value based knowledge to these kids. Till date, we have taught basic
English, Maths and topics related to cleanliness, discipline etc...
We have covered classes 1st to 10th and have been helping them out
with their school syllabus also... We hope to see more no. of
volunteers chipping in for this noble cause... n I supp Orkut is the
best forum to serve this purpose... [:)]
