Hello Friends,

Suresh garu raised few valid questions with respect to this case:
===================================
Any decision that we make in this case immediately will be a bit
hasty. What I propose is that we can get his treatment started by
making the first month's contribution. But too many gaps for me to
make a long term commitment at this point.

I am surprised that so far no one has come forward with support of
Rs 3000/month. Now one question I have is what is 'few months'? And
what exactly are the needs that we are going to meet with 3000?

Also, what is the future plan of action once he is cured? What is
his background? What type of work can he do post therapy? Is that
sufficient to support his family? What is his wife doing? Who will
be supporting the family during his treatment? What are the details
of the kids? Working or in school and how many?

I think we will need to get much more information, before taking a
decision on this case. Also, there will be atleast case similar to
this in every village in the state. Are we planning to take up all
these cases? What are our selection criteria? I think it would be
good to define these and be clear on our activities. Otherwise every
case that comes up, we will spend a lot of time in discussions and
decision making.

I had proposed the same for MAD. Would be good to have proper
guidelines.

One final thought. How come no NGOs are coming forward to take up
these cases?
===========================

Are there any member from our team who can take up this task?
Remember, if anyone of you agrees to take up the task, they would be
the active member for particular case and the responsibility rests
with them. They also can ask for one backup person or someone to
accompany them.

The tasks include:
1. Meeting Mr. Govardhan in person.
2. Talk to him, his family and also the Satram owner
3. Find out answers for all questions raised by Suresh

If we decide that the case can be taken, the volunteer has to be in
touch with Mr. Govardhan and should give money only after showing us
the bills or whatever. Well and good if they themselves buy the
medicines instead of paying for the bill.

As a member:
As you all know, I am also tied up with Vonumu work apart from MAD
work. Even office work wise too I became busy. So I cannot be a
volunteer for this case.

Please come up with your response.
