Hello Pavan, Good to know the status update there.
See to that we give priority to the most important necessities. Text books and note books are most important. If children belong to same class stay in the slum, we can buy only one set of text books for them, they can share. Reg. uniform and chappals, go ahead only when you have the req. amount. I will ring to you tonight and discuss further. I will see if we know any owners of book shops in Nlr. Satish garu (of Trinanda Foundation) said that if there is any reqmt. of note books, we can inform him before hand. There is one donor and he buys 10,000 notebooks at once and distribute. So from next year onwards, for all our education support reqmts, for all children, we can request note books from them. --- In [email protected], pavan kumar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi All, > > Sankara Sashtry garu, Anil (my friend) and me visited slum at Kantirava nagar, B'lore on Sunday morning. There are 2 people who joined Rajanna to teach children (6th-10th Std.). They will teach on wednesdays and we do on sundays. Sankar garu teach English from 8 AM to 9 AM for school children and 10 AM to 11.30 AM for PUC students. In addition, 2 people from MAD will teach Maths and Science to them after English class. Tuitions for PUC students will start after Diwali. > > We planned to give note books to 50 students on Sunday. Because of cost of the note books is too high (almost double) here compared to Nellore. So, will bring the books when I went home for Diwali. The list of books that sent in the previous mail are only for 1 sem (3 months). Rajanna will give the full details of uniforms color and cloth and slippers size. They have only one pair of uniforms. Some of my friends are interested to contribute money. So, we can give uniforms and bags also. First of all, we provide note books, slippers, instrument boxes, pens, Dictionary and School fees of Rs. 5000. > > We are going to visit Govt. Seshu is interested to attend the meeting but he couldn't because of some personal work at that time. This is the update from B'lore team. > > Regards, > Pa1. > > > P.V.Pavan Kumar > Tavant Technologies, > #12,CSRIE-II, Guava Garden, > 5th Block,Koramangala, > Bangalore-560 095. > Mobile: 9880692680 >
