Hello Friends, This is for your information.
I came to know about one more case on 31st night. Mr. Raja of SIGHT (he is also blind and he is working as a govt. teacher) informed me the details. If you read my emails in the group, there is one group called SIGHT, dedicated for blind people. They will record subject books and distribute them in cassettes and CDs. Blind people are also are members in it and they participate very actively. They also supported one blind person financially for his studies. That person is now pursuing B.Ed. in social studies in Atmakur and as he is very very poor, he could not pay the mess fees. For college fee, donors helped. It costs Rs. 1000 towards mess charges. He has to pay from July or August. B.Ed. Course duration is 1 year. The authorities asked him to leave the hostel as he is due for 3 months. They are trying to approach few generous people in Nellore and in Atmakur as well. Earlier Kumar garu has sent me Rs. 7090 for Sirisha's case (Rs. 3090 from his side and Rs. 4000 collected from friends). As we didn't need much for Sireesha's case, that money is with us only. Kumar garu informed us that he contributes Rs. 1000 for each case that we take up. So in that regard I mailed him and took his consent to use Rs. 1000 for Ms. Jayashree. I mailed to Kumar garu about the new requirement and asked him if he is interested to help initially by paying the immediate necessity of Rs. 3000 towards the mess charges. He readily agreed. I requested Ramakrishna garu to pay the amount initially and I will give to him when I go to Nellore in December. Ramakrishna garu spoke with Smt. Dornadula Subbamma, a writer and a social activist and she also runs an old age home in Atmakur. She responded positively and she will make the necessary arrangement for the rest of the academic year. I will post the mess bills (scanned ones) to the 'Files' section as soon as I get them. I thank Kumar garu, Ramakrishna garu and Subbamma garu for all the support and co-operation. with regards, Prasanthi.
