Hello Suresh garu, We are not a registered organization but we are a yahoo group of friends.
There are umpteen number of reasons for not registering the group. Coming to the tax deduction part, we will be having that from Jan 07 onwards. (Ratan ji, please explain if I am wrong) SHiFT - Serve and Help in Free Time is a registered organization and it is entitled for foreign funds as well. When we started the MAD group, our members used to send to either my Citibank account or Chandra Bommisetty's ICICI account. Later on we created a special account for the group but it is in my name. I will be closing the special account in my name by this December. So all the contributions from Jan will be deposited in SHiFT's account. As of now, TMAD, SHiFT and WWHY are working in Unison. Also I am a part of TeluguPeople Foundation and Vonumu as well. Chandra Manubothu is a part of Trinanda Foundation. We stick to this name because we believe in the story behind the phrase 'Making a Difference'. That is our inspiration. The intention of creating the TMAD group is to prove all the busy people that even though we are busy, we can still work for the positive changes in our society. We can contribute and see to that an issue is addressed to the core provided we co-operate and co-ordinate with other groups. Right from the beginning, I have been dreaming of uniting all the groups in the sense to get introduced to each other and form a panel of groups. Every group operates in its own defined domain. No need of merging into one big group. But we will meet regularly either monthly or bi- monthly and just share our thoughts, our activities etc., Let us hope that we can achieve that in the near future. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you. with regards, Prasanthi. --- In [email protected], Suresh Perugu <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Prasanthi-Have you tired to register this as non-profit with Tax deduction advantage when people give?.... > If you already expolored the avenue -ignore this email > Suresh > > sravan kumar patnaik <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Clarification from WWHY... > > We are not registed.
