Hello All, Membership Fee
How many of you are interested in Membership fee? We created a poll and though some of the members responded positively, it seems that not everyone are ok with it. Let us decide on it. My stand is neutral with respect to this issue. I will go by the consensus. Roles and Responsibilities It is the high time that we should take our roles serious and be responsible. I request every member to take one or other responsibility. No one will be a silent member. Please select something which you can really do. Agenda for the all member meeting Let us discuss on the roles apart from the regular administrative responsibilities. We will post them in our website. Let us have guidelines with respect to our roles. Website Co-ordination: One member should be from each of the chapters. How should we co- ordinate? Like, Hyderabad members will update the webpages with respect to Hyderabad and the activities that they are taking up. Similarly members of other chapters. If any new member joins and old one leaves, this is the responsibility of the particular website co- ordinators to update the pages. Account Co-ordination: As Chandra receives the amount, let us Chandra be the account co- ordinator for US and let the other members who has taken it as one of their options help him. He will maintain the details of who contributed the amount and for what purpose and takes the responsibiilty of the transferring the amount. When it comes to Hyderabad and Bangalore, I want to come out of this responsibility as well. I will show the balance sheet so far and handover the money that is with me in the account to Ratan ji and will transfer it to SHiFT's account in late December. As we have different activities here, Thalessemia, Anikepalli visit, paying school fee for few children and also willing to take up one more school, it is the responsibility of the key member of particular activity to inform the group about the expenses and also to produce the bills. They have to take money from the Account Co-ordinator of particular chapter. The one who assists the account co-ordinator should maintain an excel sheet of these details. At which date to whom the money is given and for what purpose. NGO Co-ordination: MAD, as a group, will try to unite all like-minded groups and bring them to a common platform. This doesn't mean we should be under the same umbrella. So we should try to find out other genuine groups, both registered and non-registered and try to communicate with them and explain our ideas, to be in touch with them. In Hyderabad, I will take this responsibility. I need one or two persons to assist me in this endeavour. Co-ordination in other issues: We have took up Thalessemia as the main cause and Eye, Blood and Organ Donation as other causes. So there should be one key member responsible for these causes in every Chapter. Gathering Sources: Let us start saving the contact details of all the persons who helped us, like doctors and some other professionals. So that we can approach them when necessary. Also I feel we should recognize their co-operation. I planned this for the first anniversary itself but somehow couldn't do. Programming Assistance: Satish, Suresh and few others are working on a project which involves programming. So the programmers in the group, please respond and co- operate. Preparing Project Reports: It is good if we can come up with good project reports for every completed and on-going activity. Who knows we can get an ISO certificate :) Think in those lines. Let us be as systematic as possible. Last but not the least: Please start a blog exclusively for service activities. I will explain why we should do this. 1. It helps us first to remember our own experiences and shows us we became matured with the experiences. 2. Also it shows that we are not helping the society but we are helping ourselves by showing concern for the society. 3. Our experiences helps others also to know and learn about different issues or whatever that they are not aware of earlier. 4. Also it shows to outsiders that we are all committed people. Thank you. with regards, Prasanthi.
