Contn... Kishore Putta Foundation's plan is to construct an old age home, a school, a 100 bed hospital, medical college, dental college etc., They need volunteers and also people who can bring their efforts to fruition.
They said why they came up with a foundation is two reasons. First one is that they wanted to utilize the money that god has blessed them with in a very young age for the benefit of humanity. Second one is that they wanted to channelize the contributions of all the people who trust them. They wanted to make good use of money with innovative ideas and dedication. They already spoke with Bill Gates Foundation. They want to do regular medical camps and also create health awareness programs especially on HIV. What we decided is to go to the place first, listen to them and understand the village and villagers. Based on that we might start our survey. Conveyance and food will be provided by them. They also promised us that if we find any schools, they can send their doctors for health checkups and help for any treatment. They might come forward to give library books too. Coming to our registration part, we had a very good discussion. We decided to do enough research on different types of categories to register an organization (Trust, Society, Foundation etc.). Also we research on the documentation part and other technicalities. Meanwhile we associate with this KP Foundation and work as volunteers for them to see how an NGO works. Initially when they approached me to work for them, I denied that I cannot be a full-time employee. They asked me to look after their activities and come up with suggestions etc. For that also they offered to pay. But I denied saying that it would be of interest to work with them as I am already trying to meet different NGOs. In our meeting, we decided to take some amount from them as a contribution to our group for our volunteer work. All our volunteers, we do not take any amount personally, but to our group on the whole. Ofcourse this is just our idea. Only when we go to their place, see whats going on and all, we can get a clear picture. We decided to go to Anikepalli and also to the schools Karthik mentioned in the coming weeks. This weekend we cannot go as those would be festival holidays. No one showed interest to come to Nellore :( Only Karthik told that he will try if there is no other work for him at that time. Hyderabad members started giving membership fee. Everyone who presented for the meeting gave money. Karthik, Vani, Prasanthi, Kasyap, Phanindra, Jairam and Srinivas gave money to Suresh Adina as he is the one designated for this role. Ratan(on a trip) and Murali (parking problem) were not there. Even Dr. Sundar was not there when we conducted the meeting. I think all of us who attended there(7 members) paid the membership fee. Suresh has to confirm. P.S: Sankar garu (our Blr member) was on a trip to Hyderabad and he came to our Luncheon meeting, wished everyone and went. He said he will meet all of us some other time.
