Hello Friends,
As far as I remember, these are the cases with us:
1. Kidney Transplantation, Engg. Student, NIMS - We thought of providing
post-medication help. We thought of approaching MedPlus or Suraksha or some
other medical hall. Sarath also told me about one of his medical rep.
friends and also of a discount/free medicines of Rs. 500 from Apollo
Pharmacy for a purchase of Rs. 5000 medicines.
What is the status quo of this case?
2. Delhi case - We should see what we can do in this case.
3. Nellore case - The boy is now in Chennai Hospital and so far we have
transferred Rs. 7000 for them. (Rs. 3000 to PRK, which he has given to the
patient's family. Rs. 4000 to Arun. He will be visiting them this evening)
*New Cases:*
The one transferred by Uday Bhaskar garu. As the operation/treatment cost is
Rs. 2 lakhs only, I think we can manage this case, provided they apply for
CM, PM, Ambedkar and other funds. There is Vice-President fund also. Let us
google for these funds and find out the guidelines.
We already have a promised donation of 1000$ for this case. We can even take
the help of Kinnera Foundation for any child related case. {He will be in
Hyderabad till this friday only. If possible, let us meet him so that we can
know more about the foundation and their guidelines, future plans etc., He
will come back in June to settle here in Hyderabad. That would be a big
boost to us}
*Volunteers:*
We already divided our interested members as volunteers for Education and
Medical Help. So for any medical case that the group agrees, let us have one
main volunteer and two volunteers to support the main volunteer. That way
execution will be easy.

It is our turn now. Those who showed interest to help in medical cases,
please let us know your availability and also the case that you are
interested in. We will be giving the contact details or leads for particular
case and then you take the entire responsibility of the case. Whenver you
need any support, please mail to the group before hand so that others can
jump in and help.
I await eagerly for a reply from you all.
P.S. As a volunteer I cannot take up medical cases in the sense that I will
not come to hospitals to visit the patient. Whatever be the actual reasons,
for my mother, visiting NIMS and ESI is the main reason for my ailment :))
She has taken a word from me that I will not visit hospitals.
I will definitely help in co-ordination with different groups and other
online/offline stuff. You can count me in for everything other than visiting
hospitals for few months.
Before parents of other members/volunteers too to think the same, let us not
visit hospitals so frequently as I did. Ofcourse such cases will not repeat.
But let us take every care of us also first so that we will be in a position
to take care of others.
