Hello Friends, As we have to think of 'Registering the Group', let us be serious enough. Be open. All should communicate their views. Only then we can understand if we can opt for Registration or not.
Everyone should be clear and should answer the following questions, whether silent or active members: 1. What for I/you/we joined the group? Only for satisfaction To spend leisure time for some good cause To make time to do something good To seriously nurture the idea of helping the society despite being busy <<Anything else you can add>> 2. What do we expect from the group? Personal: A platform which gives a satisfaction and scope to work on things that one want to do. A platform through which one can work serious enough on the area of their choice Group Front: At the end of financial year, we will have facts and figures. Helped so many children, 1 or n no. of schools, so many medical cases, 1 or n. no. of hospitals etc., Should consider whether we can make a real difference or not?!? Whether we serve the purpose or not?! We might not have so 'many' to boast of. We gain some knowledge in each problem area, we gain knowledge about govt. schemes for education or govt. schemes in medical field, for poor people etc., 3. What do you want our group should be, directed towards? We want the group to concentrate only on one problem area...... Do everything and anything for it....... Like any other group concentrating on specific areas. Keep this as a platform to serve the needy and think on the ways on how best we can do this. Any other questions that you come across. Friends, It is high time that every member should come up answering these questions and I feel we should take the opinion from the people who wish to subscribe, like Pavan felt. Instead of talking superficial, let us think deep enough on a topic, so can we drill down to finer points and think of our stand on each point. 4. What is consensus and how should we consider an opinion to be supported by majority members of the group? Is it something like a poll, that whoever votes, their opinion will be counted and that is the majority. Whoever talks, only their opinion is counted and we allow members to keep mum? Or should we take particular time frame, to get the opinion of the members compulsorily on all serious issues. Making it mandatory for all members to respond?
